STORY ON "BREAST IMPLANT ILLNESS"
A reported piece about how women are now having problems with their breast implants, WH investigated the issue and spoke to real women experiencing a spectrum of issues. Since the reporting came back as 50/50, in that there was not physical proof that came back signifying a conclusion on the issue. But there were reports of women getting their implants out and their symptoms disappeared. So visually, we had to come up with a way to convey the same conclusion.
VISUAL PROGRESSION
For this story, I wanted to show progression, with the opener depicting the number of women out there with implants. Next, the idea of half of the implant in shadow, symbolizes the possibility that one (or both) of their implants could be defective and making her ill. And the final image symbolizes the solution for some women.
